Privacy policy

Last updated: 20 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how West Home ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit ukwesthome.com or buy from us. We process data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Data we collect

  • Identity & contact — name, email, phone, delivery address.
  • Order data — products purchased, amounts, payment status (card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored in full by us).
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited.
  • Marketing & advertising — cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie policy), including advertising partners such as Meta where you have interacted with our ads.

2. How we use your data

  • To fulfil and support your orders (contract).
  • To provide customer care and respond to enquiries (legitimate interests / contract).
  • To keep the site secure and improve performance (legitimate interests).
  • To measure and improve advertising effectiveness, where permitted (consent / legitimate interests as applicable).
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

3. Sharing

We share data with service providers who help us operate the shop — for example payment processing, hosting, delivery partners, and advertising platforms. They may only use data on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens we use appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations).

5. Retention

We keep order and customer records for as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal and tax retention periods, then delete or anonymise them.

6. Your rights

You may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). To exercise your rights, contact us via Contact us.

7. Contact
